I am a wife of a railroader. That means that I never know for sure when my hubby will be around.
I am the mother of three very active kids. They are 8, 11 and 15. It won't take long for you get to know them. Probably more then you want to.
I work part time as a teachers aide at a very small and just starting preschool.
I love to scrapbook, quilt, hike, camp, fish and I play a little with photography. My favorite subjects are my kids, another thing you will soon discover.
I really struggle with getting good meals on the table. My mother is an amazing cook, and a very hard act to follow. When I was growing up she somehow managed to get good, hearty meals on our table every night. Something that most days I just don't seem to be able to pull off.
I will not be posting original recipes. I just don't do that. I will however try to post or link you to the web sites that I find my inspiration for my meals. I plan on trying some new recipes, review them and post some pictures. One thing I hate, is spending over an hour on a meal that was suppose to take 20 minutes. Then putting in the table and the kids hate it. I don't have that kind of time.
My family, like so many others, are feeling the effects of our economy. One thing I am hoping to do is find more recipes and meal ideas that will feed my zoo without costing a fortune.
